How can I volunteer with 4 All Foundation?

We have many volunteers based all around Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, undertaking different sorts of roles depending on their preferences and backgrounds. But there is always room for more within our team…

Volunteer roles with 4 All

We very much believe in matching volunteers to the ideal role for them, and we’ll always aim to provide opportunities that are enjoyable and rewarding for each individual, as well as having a great impact for the communities we support.

  • Fundraising and events are vital for us, to ensure we’re able to establish partnerships, raise funds, and continue the work that we do across the region. So, volunteers who have experience in (or are passionate about) helping to co-ordinate events, corporate sponsorships, or any other aspect of fundraising are always welcome to join us.
  • We have a number of volunteers who take on a mentoring role, meeting with young people on a regular basis to offer one-to-one support. This is such a rewarding role as it enables you to see your mentees’ progress over time.
  • Our packed youth and play programme sees us running many clubs and activities across the county, both within term time and during the holidays. Volunteers who are passionate about sport, activities for young people, play opportunities, and supporting children to try out new activities are ideal to help within these programmes.
  • If you’d prefer to be behind the scenes helping out, and you’re keen on organisation and know your way round a spreadsheet, then an admin volunteer role might just be perfect for you!
  • Or if you’re someone who’s handy with a paintbrush or a hammer, then helping us with maintenanceat our community hubs and other sites around Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin is such a valuable role, and makes a real difference to the charity and the people we help.

The benefits of volunteering

There are so many benefits to volunteering: naturally, it’s incredibly rewarding to play such an important role within the community – and you’ll get to see first hand the positive effects of the role you’re doing.

Other impacts can include boosting your CV or helping you to get back into the workplace, as the skills you’ll learn being a volunteer are undoubtedly attractive to potential employers.

You’ll also get to meet lots of new people, from other volunteers to the 4 All staff and trustees, and of course people from across the communities we support.

According to an NCVO survey:

  • 90% of volunteers feel like they are making a positive difference
  • 77% reported that volunteering had improved their mental health and wellbeing
  • 93% said they enjoyed their volunteer work
