What is 4 All Foundation?

The charity has a wide reach, seeing hundreds of people join in activities every single week – adding up to many thousands since its launch in 2022!

Our missions:

All of the programmes we offer aim to tick at least one of the four missions we have:

The first is to help people develop their skills, achieve qualifications and create employment opportunities. How do we do this? Our adult-focused programmes aim to introduce attendees to a wide range of activities, and we also run specific courses and workshops in various areas of the county.

Our second mission is to promote and protect people’s health and wellbeing: whether through free blood pressure checks, sports activities during the school holidays, or our specific Wellbeing Groups, every single one of our activities aims to support people’s emotional and/or physical health!

Thirdly, we aim to assist those in need for any reason – whether that’s due to their age, health or any other disadvantage. That’s why we run a broad range of activities, welcoming in everyone from newborns to those in their 80s and 90s!

And our fourth mission centres around relieving poverty. While Shropshire is often thought to be an affluent county, there are significant pockets of deprivation where children and adults alike may have access to fewer opportunities. That’s why we target our programmes around these communities, and the majority of our activities are completely free of charge for attendees (with the rest being low cost).

Our partners:

We are grateful to our network of partners, who enable us to run such an extensive programme of events throughout the year – this includes local authorities who often support activities to fund (for example) youth clubs so we can offer them for free for the children who come along.

We’re also supported by a number of organisations, such as Aico, who help us by donating their space (so we can run school holiday programmes from their building) and their time (like helping us redecorate the Ditherington Community Centre).

Almost 20 schools and colleges partner with us too, meaning we can offer sports and other after-school activities to their students, and also enabling us to use their facilities for our programmes.

Our team:

As well as the crucial input from our partners, we also have a fabulous team at 4 All Foundation who work hard every day to ensure we are reaching as many people as possible, and making a real difference in the communities where it’s most needed.

Alongside our staff and trustees, we have a significant number of volunteers who spend their spare time contributing to 4 All Foundation.

There’s a lot of work that goes into running the charity: not just the bits the community see, like leading our activities, but also all of the ‘behind the scenes’ work such as fundraising, admin and training.

We’re rightly proud of our fantastic 4 All Foundation team and partners, but there’s always room for more supporters! You can check out how to become a volunteer here, or if you’re a school or business who’d like to partner with us, there’s more information on how to do so here.
