Communities in Market Drayton and beyond are set to benefit thanks to a kind donation made possible by local Costa Coffee staff.

The team at the Market Drayton store nominated 4 All Foundation to benefit from a £2,000 donation – one of 44 handed out this year to charities across the UK as part of Costa’s Community Grants Scheme, which is now in its fifth year. It was established in 2021 to ensure grassroots organisations got the recognition and resources they deserved, with the beneficiaries all being put forward by team members. To date, the scheme has donated more than £225,000.

Store Manager Dominic Ashley said: “We nominated 4 All Foundation because of the vital role they play in our community. This grant will help them continue their amazing work in creating opportunities, building confidence, and making a real difference across the region for young people and families alike.

“We thought this was the perfect opportunity to not only support an incredible charity, but in turn also to help the local community.”

The donation will be used to purchase new equipment to be used across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin during our activities including sports sessions, wellbeing groups, and creative programmes.

George Hounsell, our Director of Operations, said: “We are extremely grateful to the Costa Coffee team in Market Drayton for their kind nomination which has enabled us to benefit from the grant.

“As well as being used to support the range of activities we run from The Zone Community Hub in the town, we also run programmes across the county including Youth Clubs, Wellbeing Groups, workshops, sports activities and much more.

“Grants enable us to expand the work we do, which then enables us to support more of the communities in need in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Thank you Costa Coffee!”

Jodi Forbes, the company's Community Programme Lead, added: “At Costa Coffee, we believe in the power of community and the potential of young people. We’re proud to extend a helping hand to charities like 4 All Foundation who make such a difference locally. We can’t wait to see and hear how this donation helps them to continue their life-changing work in Shropshire.”
